AirInstinct 200 is powerful and efficient; in fact, it’s the most powerful air purifier Oreck has ever offered and it’s ENERGY STAR® certified. AirInstinct 200 has two extra features, a power saving and a sleep mode, both of which minimize energy consumption. When the smart air sensor detects a low level of particles at its filter it goes into power saving mode — saving energy — and then turns itself back on when a certain level of particles are again present at its filter. On its lowest setting it’s whisper quiet. It can also provide white noise, depending on the setting. It’s built to last, too: Oreck backs the AirInstinct with an amazing 5-year limited warranty. **
The Oreck AirInstinct 200 utilizes three-stage filtration. During stage 1 the pre-filter captures large particle matter like hair and pet fur. This filter can be washed with water and never needs to be replaced. At Stage 2, the 3-year odor filter*** reduces VOC's (volatile organic compounds such as paint smells and off-gases from new rugs and furniture, and aerosol vapors and odors from cleaning supplies) and household odors that pass through the filter. This odor filter contains an active carbon material to help reduce odors. Stage 3 is the HEPA filter that captures 99.97% of dust, allergens, smoke, pet dander and pollen as small as .3 microns from the air that passes through the filter. The 3-year HEPA filter*** comes installed in the AirInstinct 200.
With a CADR (Clean Air Delivery Rate) of 160, The AirInstinct 200 is recommended for use in rooms up to 248 square feet. That means it will circulate the air in a 248 square foot room (about the size of an average bedroom) every 13 minutes. It’s lightweight and portable, so it can be easily moved it from room to room.
